The original production of the broadway musical, South Pacific, began in March of 1949 in New Haven, Ct. South Pacific tickets were sold for this production that ran from 1950-1955 as a US tour in 118 cities. A 1988 West End revival in London was held at the Prince of Wales Theatre from Jan. 1988 to Jan, 1989.
